Detailed Solution

The oldest Veda was Rigveda.
The earliest extant works of literature from the Indian subcontinent are the Vedas. The four Vedas are the Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda, and Atharva Veda. The oldest Veda is the Rig Veda. It was written about 3500 years ago. It serves as the foundation for the other Vedas, which are largely composed of hymns from it. More than a thousand hymns referred to as sukta or "well-said," may be found in the Rigveda. These hymns honour several different gods and goddesses. The average hymn has ten verses. Men composed, taught, and learned the majority of the hymns. A few were written by women. The earliest book in Sanskrit or any Indo-European language is the Rig Veda.
