The community government in Belgium is an example of a power-sharing arrangement among different social groups. Due to the long-standing conflict between linguistic groups in the country, the leaders of Belgium decided to opt for a federal system with some unique features. One of these features was the formation of a community government. Thus this community government acted independently of the union or the state governments.
