Detailed Solution

The origin place of the River Indus is Tibet. In Tibet, close to Lake Mansarovar, the Indus River originates. It flows west before entering India in Jammu and Kashmir's Ladakh region. This area creates a lovely gorge. The Kashmir area is joined by the Zaskar, the Nubra, the Shyok, and the Hunza. The Indus originates in the mountains of Attock and flows through Baltistan and Gilgit. Near Mithankot in Pakistan, the Satluj, Beas, Ravi, Chenab, and Jhelum converge to enter the Indus. Once past this point, the Indus flows south until it finally reaches the Arabian Sea, east of Karachi. There is a very slight slope in the Indus plain. The Indus is one of the longest rivers, measuring 2900 kilometres overall.
