The part of the bulb that glows when current passes through the bulb is called the filament.
When a current is passed through a bulb, the filament of the bulb gets heated up to a very high temperature which causes it to glow. The bulb's filament has a very high melting point and low electrical resistance. If the resistance of a material is suitably low, its conductance will be high. The filament is commonly made out of a material called tungsten.
