Limbic system, along with hypothalamus, helps in the regulation of sexual behavior and expression of emotions.

(1) The corpus callosum and the thalamus are not primarily responsible for the regulation of sexual behavior or emotional responses. The corpus callosum is a bundle of nerve fibres that connects the two hemispheres of the brain, and it is primarily involved in facilitating communication between them. The thalamus is a relay station that helps transmit sensory information to the cerebral cortex.

(3) The corpora quadrigemina (optic lobes) have no role in the regulation of sexual behaviour or expression of emotions. They control the position of the head and eyes in response to visual and auditory stimuli. The hippocampus is a part of the limbic system that has some role in emotional responses. It has a major role in learning and memory.

(4) The brainstem and the epithalamus are not primarily responsible for the regulation of sexual behavior or emotional responses. The brainstem includes the midbrain, the pons and the medulla. It is responsible for many vital functions of life, such as breathing, consciousness, blood pressure, heart rate and sleep. The epithalamus functions to connect
the limbic system to other parts of the brain. The pineal gland secretes melatonin, which regulates circadian rhythm.
