Given that, the perimeter of two similar triangles are

25 cm

and

15 cm

respectively and one side of the first triangles is

9 cm

.
We know that, in similar triangles, corresponding sides are always in the same ratio which is also equal to the ratio of their perimeters.
Let us consider the corresponding side of the second triangle is k.
Therefore,

2515 = 9 k ⇒ 53 = 9 k ⇒ 5 k = 27 ⇒ k = 275 ⇒ k = 5.4
