The pH of acid rain is 4.
The pH of normal rain is 5.6  because our atmosphere contains a lot of impurities like carbon dioxide. Acid rain is the result of a chemical reaction when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released from the air and dissolved in water. When rainwater with acidic components like sulphuric acid, and nitric acid fall on the ground, the pH range of rainwater ranges from 4.3 to 5.
