Detailed Solution

Gandhiji helped the plantation workers to struggle against oppressive measures in Assam.
Workers had a special understanding of the Swaraj decision given by the nationalist leader. In Assam, for plantation staff, the meaning of Swaraj was retentive the link with the village they hail from and the right to manoeuvre freely in and out of the place they were operating in. Plantation staff within the garden had to hunt permission before departure. Moreover, the plantation staff was seldom permitted to manoeuvre out. This rule was the Inland Emigration Act of 1859. When the staff came to understand the Non-Cooperation Movement, all the staff defied the principles and authorities by departing the plantations without permission and that they headed to their home village. The plantation staff believed that Gandhi's dominion would become a reality, and every one of them would learn about lands in their villages. The police caught the plantation staff, and they were savagely crushed. However, Congress didn't outline the vision of those movements. Plantation staff understood the meaning of Swaraj in their means.
