Detailed Solution

The plan of Jama Masjid was laid by Shah Jahan.
During the period of different dynasties, religious worship places like temples and mosques were built. They were built beautifully and showed their devotion to the patron. They are not only a place of worship, but for them, it is a way to demonstrate their power and wealth. Mughals and the Sultanate built various mosques and dargahs across the country. They did not claim to be an incarnation of God. Shah Jahan’s chronicler, the Mughal emperor, declared him the “architect of the workshop of empire and religion.” Shah Jahan built the Jama Masjid in his new capital Shahjahanabad. It was built between the years 1650-1656.
