Detailed Solution

The election of India's President is done by an Electoral College System which is an indirect method of electing the President of India. The lawmakers cast the votes at the national and state-level elections conducted and supervised by India's constitutional body responsible for elections, the Election Commission of India. The electoral college for the election of the President consists of all the elected members of the Lower House, that is Lok Sabha, and the Rajya Sabha, which is the Upper House of the Parliament, and the elected members of the State Legislative Assemblies of States (MLAs). Members of a few Union Territories of India are also included, like Delhi. The President of India is elected indirectly by the single-transferable voting system through the method of secret ballot.
