It is given prices of a scooter and a TV are in the ratio 7 : 5 and the scooter costs Rs 8000 more than a TV set .
Let the prices of the scooter be 7x and tv set be 5x.
The difference between the two prices is 7x-5x=2x,
According to the question,
 2x=8000
⇒ x=4000 So, price of scooter is 7x=7×4000
⇒Rs 28000
and price of tv set is 5x=5×4000
⇒Rs 20000
Therefore, the price of a TV set is Rs 20000.
