Two types of DNA primers are used in PCR for the amplification of each gene. They are forward primers that are attached to non-coding strand at 3' end another one is reverse primer attached to 3' end of coding strand. Sequence of both the primers is different as the sequence of both strands of DNA acting as templates is different.
