Detailed Solution

The Print technology came to Europe from China. In the eleventh century, paper made its way from China to Europe via the Silk Road. As a result, the creation of scribe-written texts started to happen often. The art of woodblock printing was brought to Europe in 1295 by the renowned traveller Marco Polo. Italians have since begun using woodblocks to publish books. Also in other regions of Europe, the technology gained popularity. By the beginning of the 15th century, woodblocks were being used extensively in Europe to print fabrics, playing cards, and religious images with short, simple phrases. Johannes Gutenberg brought forth a significant change in print technology. In the 1430s, he invented the earliest printing press ever. The Bible was the first book he ever printed. The majority of European nations installed printing presses in the following 100 years, or between 1450 and 1550.
