Detailed Solution

The process in which a liquid changes into gas is evaporation.
Evaporation is a process that helps separate a solid from water or any other liquid in which it is dissolved. Once the mixture is heated, the solid part is the residue left behind, and the liquid part evaporates. For example, using evaporation, salt can be separated from a mixture of salt and water. On heating the mixture, the water will evaporate, and salt will be left behind. The process in which liquid changes into its vapours or gaseous form is known as evaporation.
