Concept- The process of converting crude oil obtained from seeds into commercially useful fuel is called trans-esterification. Frequently, crude oil is a thick, viscous liquid that needs to be changed before usage. Heating crude oil till it boils is the first step in refining it.
In a distillation column, the boiling liquid is divided into various liquids and gases. Petrol, paraffin, diesel fuel, and other liquids are made with these substances.
Crude oil is a combination of several chemicals known as hydrocarbons. In the column, the boiling oil transforms into a concoction of gases. The column, which is warmest at the bottom and coolest at the top, is moving up as the gases do. As they ascend the column, the gases cool until they condense (turn back into liquid again). After washing and additional processing, the separated liquids and gases are utilised to create many products.
Transesterification is the term for the procedure. It is employed in the production of biofuel. It serves as a substitute for diesel. Vehicles used for road transportation use it.
