The proportion of people in different countries living in extreme economic poverty is a global poverty trend. The number of people living in severe economic instability has declined substantially. It has reduced from 36% in 1990 to 10% in 2015. Poverty has declined considerably in China and southeastern countries. The poor in China decreased from 88.3% in 1981 to 14.7% in 2008 to 0.7% in 2015. The new sustainable goals for developing the United Nations (UN) have proposed ending poverty of all types by 2030. People living in poverty have come to relief with these schemes.
