Tawa Matsya Sangh is a fish worker cooperative federation. It is an organisation that advocates for the rights of displaced forest inhabitants in Madhya Pradesh's Satpura forest. The inhabitants had been compelled to abandon their houses, build new dwellings, and start over in other places. The TMS organised protests and rallies to demand their freedom to continue fishing for a living (blocking the roads). As a result, cooperation was made to buy fish at reasonable prices from fish workers. The cooperative society also made arrangements to transport and sell the fish. As a result, it resulted in a three-fold increase in the wages of fish workers. TMS has also started lending to fish workers for net maintenance and net procurement, which has resulted in improvement in the lives of fish workers.
