Suppose the radius of given cylinder is (r) =100 cm
Height( h) =100 cm.
Volume of cylinder,
(V)=πr2h
V=π×100×100×100V=1000000π
Now radius is increased by 50%. So, new radius
rn=(100+50)cm
rn=150 cm
New volume,
Vn=π×150×150×100Vn=2250000π
Now, Volume increase of cylinder
=2250000π-1000000π=1250000π
Now, percentage increase,
=12500001000000×100
=125%
Hence, this is the answer.
