The income ratio from the previous year for A, B and C is

3 : 4 : 5

. Then, the income from the last year of A, B and C becomes

3 x, 4 x

and

5 x,

where x is constant.
The ratio of the previous year and A's current income is as follows:

\frac{3 x}{a} = \frac{4}{5}

a = \frac{15 x}{4}

The ratio of the previous year and B's current income is as follows:

\frac{4 x}{b} = \frac{2}{3}

b = 6 x

The ratio of the previous year and C's current income is as follows:

\frac{5 x}{c} = \frac{3}{4}

c = \frac{20 x}{3}

The sum of present incomes of A, B and C is 78800.
a + b + c = 78800
Substituting the values in the above equation,

\frac{15 x}{4} + 6 x + \frac{20 x}{3} = 78800

\frac{45 x + 72 x + 80 x}{12} = 78800

x = \frac{78800 \times 12}{197}

x = 4800

The current income of B is b and b = 6x
So, b = 6 × 4800 = Rs. 28800
Thus, the correct option is (C).
