It is given a rectangle.
Length:Breadth=5:3
Let, length = 5x and breadth = 3x
So, Length = breadth + 8
5x = 3x +8  
2x=8 x=4  
Length is
⇒5×4=20m  
And breadth is
⇒3×4=12m   We know that, Area of rectangle = length ×   breadth.
Area = 20 ×12 Area=240 m 2  
So, Area of the given rectangle is 240 m².
Therefore, the correct option is 1.
