Detailed Solution

Concept- Finding a new ratio of students
Assuming the number of students in school A = 6x
The number of students in school B = 8x
The number of students in school C = 7x
Given that the percentage in A, B and C has increased by 20%, 15% and 20% respectively.
For school A,
Total number of students in school A =6x+20% of 6x
=6x+20100×6x
=6x+6x5
 =36x5
For school B,
Total number of students in school B =8x+15% of 8x
=8x+15100×8x
=8x+2× 35
=40+ 6x5
=46x5
For school C,
Total number of students in school c =7x+20% of 7x
=7x+20100×7x
=7x+75
=35+ 7x5
=42x5
Therefore, the new ratio of the number of students in A, B, C schools,
36x5:46x5:42x5
=36:46:42x
=18 :23 :21
Hence, the correct answer is option 1.
