Concept- Let us assume “k” is a common factor of 22 and 3. Hence, the amount of copper in the bronze article will be  22k and also the amount of tin in the bronze article will be 3k.
 It is given that the ratio of weight of copper and tin in the bronze article =  22:3
Writing the ratio given in terms of a fraction.
Weight of (CopperTin) = 22/3
Let the weight of the copper in the bronze article = 22k
Also weight of the tin in the bronze article = 3k
Hence, the weight of the bronze article will be 22k + 3k = 25k
The given weight of bronze is 500 grams.
Hence,  25k = 500
k = 20 grams
∴ The weight of tin in bronze is 3k = 3(20) = 60 grams
So, the weight of the tin in the bronze article is 60 gram.1.
