The reaction Quotient (Q) for the reaction ${\mathrm{N}}_{2\left(\mathrm{g}\right)}+3{\mathrm{H}}_{2\left(\mathrm{g}\right)}\to 2{\mathrm{NH}}_{3\left(\mathrm{g}\right)}$ is given by  $\mathrm{Q}=\frac{{\left[{\mathrm{NH}}_3\right]}^2}{\left[{\mathrm{N}}_2\right]\left[{\mathrm{H}}_2\right]}.$The reaction will proceed from right to left if

${\mathrm{N}}_{2\left(\mathrm{g}\right)}+3{\mathrm{H}}_{2\left(\mathrm{g}\right)}\to 2{\mathrm{NH}}_{3\left(\mathrm{g}\right)}$ The reaction quotient is  $\mathrm{Q}=\frac{{\left[{\mathrm{NH}}_3\right]}^2}{\left[{\mathrm{N}}_2\right]\left[{\mathrm{H}}_2\right]}.$

If $\mathrm{Q}>{\mathrm{K}}_{\mathrm{C}},$then the reaction proceeds from right to left or the products converts into reactants.
