Detailed Solution

The reason for Battle of Plassey was refused to expand fortification and to mint coins.
The Battle of Plassey was fought between Nawab of Bengal and the Britishers on 23 June 1757. Siraj ud daula became the Nawab of Bengal in 1756 after his grandfather, Alivardi khan. Siraj ud daula refused to expand the fortification and settlement of the Britishers and was not permitted to mint coins which was the cause of the Battle of Plassey. Siraj seized the English Factory at Kasimbazar, where fort William surrendered, but Robert Clive went against the seizure of the English Factory. Then Battle of Plassey was fought between Siraj ud daula and Robert Clive with their army on 23 June 1757.
