Detailed Solution

The Civil Disobedience movement was started because of the salt law, the Simon Commission and the Great Depression. The British Colonial government controlled every section of society by taxing salt. Simon Commission was constituted in 1927 to present a report on the Government of India Act 1919, and not a single Indian member was in it. Similarly, the Great Depression of 1929 destabilised the world's economy.
