Detailed Solution

The reforms introduced by Napoleon Bonaparte were a standardised system of weights and measures, a common national currency, abolition of the feudal system and many others. The Civil Code of 1804, also known as the Napoleonic Code, was implemented in areas he had conquered in Europe. It took away all privileges based on birth, established equality before the law, and secured property rights. He simplified the administrative divisions, abolished the feudal system, and freed peasants from dues. Communication and transportation were improved, and guild restrictions were removed. Businessmen and small-scale producers used uniform laws, standardised weights, and measures. A common national currency was used to easily exchange goods and capital from one region to another.
