Detailed Solution

The report of the State Reorganisation Commission was implemented on November 1, 1956. The act advocated that state boundaries be organised along linguistic lines. PM Jawaharlal Nehru appointed the State Reorganisation Body in December 1953, and the commission published its report on September 30, 1955. The report's suggestions were considered in the Indian parliament, and a bill to change the constitution was ultimately enacted.  It was also revised after its enactment by the 7th Constitutional Amendment Act. This amendment altered the existing state differences.
