Detailed Solution

The resistance offered by the substance of a material having unit length and unit area of the cross-section of a given material is called its electrical resistivity.
It’s the fundamental property of a conductor. A low resistivity shows a material that freely allows electric current, meaning a good conductor of electricity. Materials with a resistivity range of  10-8 Ωm to 10-6Ωm are considered excellent conductors. For example, silver has resistivity equal to 1.60 X 10-8 Ωm, and copper has resistivity equal to 1.62 X 10-8 Ωm. Rubber and glasses are excellent insulators.
