sin ωt = y1a1-------------------(i)

then second equation will be

y2 = a2 sin(ωt+π2)

= a2[sin ωt cos π2+cos ωtsin π2] = a2 cos ωt

cos ωt = y2a2--------------(ii)

By squaring and adding equations (i) and (ii)

sin2 ωt + cos2 ωt = y21a21+y22a22  

y21a21+y22a22= 1. This is the equation of ellipse.
