Detailed Solution

The rivers and lakes that bear water throughout the year are called Perennial.
Perennial rivers are those where water flows continuously throughout the year without ever drying up. They come from the mountains, and during the dry season, the water in these rivers is supplied by the melting of glaciers. Due to the presence of the massive mountain range, the Himalayas, which are completely covered in snow and supplies water to some rivers throughout the year, these rivers are primarily found in North India. In contrast, there are no mountains with snow in South India, and when there is snow, it only falls during the winter, making the rivers in that region non-perennial. The Ganga is the best example of a perennial river.
