Detailed Solution

The Rowlatt Act came in 1919.
A contentious statute created by the British in colonial India was the Rowlatt Act. It was published in 1919. The Rowlatt Act allows the British to detain anyone based on suspicion. Drs. Satyapal and Saifuddin Kitchlew were detained on April 10 in accordance with this statute. A mass gathering was organised in the Jallianwallah Bagh in Amritsar, Punjab, to condemn the arrest. On April 13, 1919, the Jallianwallah Bagh tragedy occurred when General Dyer shot into the mob without firing a warning. This was one of the most horrific crimes against humanity in recorded history.
