Many treatment methods have come up to prevent this kind of erosion. A grassed waterway is one such method because the grass holds on to the soil firmly and prevents it from washing away. The other method would be annual cover crops. Once the crop harvest is done, generally, the land will be left fallow during the off-season. Still, we can use cover crops as their roots hold on to the soil, and when the season arrives, cover crops can be eradicated by herbicides, and the dead roots become organic matter in the soil.
