Detailed Solution

The scheduled languages are mentioned in the Eighth schedule of the Constitution.
There are twelve schedules in the Constitution of India, which is the country's supreme law. The eighth schedule of the Constitution consists of scheduled languages. These languages are officially added to the schedule as the major languages are spoken in the country. Moreover, the scheduled languages are 22 in number in the eighth schedule. Hindi, the official language of the country, is also one of them, but English is not a scheduled language of the country even when it is the official language. The languages include Hindi, Marathi, Assamese, Bodo, Dongri, Santhali etc.
