Detailed Solution

The Sea Route to India was discovered by Vasco Da Gama. In all history texts, whether they deal with the world, European, Asian, or Indian history, Vasco da Gama is a renowned sailor and explorer. He is the only person to receive credit for discovering the maritime passage that runs via the Cape of Good Hope from Europe to India. The Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama founded the maritime route to India. In 1498, his voyage stopped at several locations throughout Africa after sailing along the western coast of Africa and passing the Cape of Good Hope. On May 20, 1498, he anchored off the Indian port of Calicut after successfully navigating the Indian Ocean.
