The second volume of Akbar Nama records the events of his reign.
The first book of Akbarnama covers the birth of Akbar, the history of Timur's family, the reigns of Babur and Humayun, and the Suri sultans of Delhi. Abul Fazl Humayun, the father of Akbar and the alternate Mughal monarch, is said to have petitioned the Kaaba, the Muslim holy site, for an heir to the Mughal empire. The alternative book, which gives a complete history of Akbar's reign from 1556 until 1602, proves the occurrences that took place during Akbar's reign. It also describes how, during the Panipat War, Bairam Khan and Akbar beat the Indian soldier Hemu.
