Tunica albuginea is the white fibrous capsule composed of dense irregular connective tissue that surrounds the testis. It extends inwards forming septa that divide the testis into 250 testicular lobules. Each lobule contains 1 to 3 seminiferous tubules. Tunica vaginalis is a serous membrane that lies outside the tunica albuginea. Germinal epithelium covers the ovary.
