Detailed Solution

The sequence of stages in the life cycle of a silkworm is Egg → Larva → Pupa → Silk Moth.
A healthy female silk moth lays about 300-400 eggs. The eggs hatch, and the silkworms or the larva emerge. This stage is known as the larval stage. The silkworms feed on mulberry leaves and grow in size. They secrete fine filaments and deposit them around their bodies, and this covering is known as a cocoon. Inside the cocoon, the silkworm enters the next stage of its life, known as Pupa, and then to the third and final stage to become an adult moth.
