Detailed Solution

The Serengeti National Park is located in Tanzania. In the late nineteenth century, the British colonial authorities encouraged the indigenous peasant groups to increase their farming in various parts of Africa. They converted pasturelands into arable fields in the process. The government converted large tracts of grazing land into game reserves, such as the Serengeti Park in Tanzania and the Maasai Mara and Samburu National Parks in Kenya. Pastoralists were prohibited from entering these reserves and were not permitted to hunt or graze their herds there. These reserves were frequently located in places where Maasai herds have historically used for grazing. The Serengeti National Park, for instance, was created over 14,760 km. of Maasai grazing land.
