Let the length of the shadow be when it makes an angle of 600at point C at the ground and 3at an angle of θ at point D.
Let height of flagstaff be h.

tan600=hx h=x tan 600..............(1)
In ΔBDA,
tanθ=h3x h=3xtanθ...............(2)
From (1) & (2) we get,
xtan600=3xtanθ tanθ=tan6003 tanθ=33 tanθ=3×33×3 tanθ=13 θ=300 Hence, the correct option is 1.
