Detailed Solution

The SI unit of weight is equal to Newton.
The SI unit of weight can be measured in kg.m/s2 (kilograms.meters per second squared) which is equal to a newton (N). Since weight is the force elongated by the gravitational force upon a whole it is represented by the formula W=mg, where weight W is the product of mass “m” of the and acceleration due o gravity g, which is same as formula of force. Since the unit of force is newton then unit of weight is also newton.
