Detailed Solution

Side of a square = 10 cm

Perimeter of square = 4 × side = 4 x 10 cm = 40 cm

Side of square after doubling the length = 20 cm

Perimeter of new square = 4 × new side

                                             = 4 × 20 cm

                                             = 80 cm

Thus, the new perimeter will also be doubled, if the side of the square is doubled.
