Given that the ratio of the sides is 4:5.
Let the sides of the rectangle are 4x and 5x.
Perimeter of the rectangle is

90 cm

.
As we know that,
Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 (Length + Breadth)

∴ 2 (5 x + 4 x) = 90 ⇒ 2 (9 x) = 90 ⇒ 18 x = 90 ⇒ x = 9018 ⇒ x = 5 Now, one side of rectangle = 4x = 4 × 5 = 20cm . And, other side of rectangle = 5 × 5 = 25cm

So, the sides of the rectangle are

20 cm

and

25 cm

.
