Concept: The protection of the forest's trees was the primary goal of the Chipko movement.
When few contractors arrived at the nearby forest to cut the trees in the 1970s, the local villagers (women) of a community called Reni clutched the trees. 
After being horrified, the contractors decided against cutting the trees. 
Communities learned of the news. 
Even after all these years, this campaign still motivates us to reevaluate our priorities for the environment and forest preservation.
