Detailed Solution

The Simon Commission was boycotted in India because there were no Indian members in the Commission.
The Simon Commission was a statutory commission set up by the government of Britain to look into the functioning of the government of India and suggest further changes. It was directed against the nationalist struggle. Sir Simon led the Simon Commission with members belonging to Britain. Not a single Indian member was included in the Commission. This created a sense of dissatisfaction among the Indian leaders. On the arrival of the Simon Commission to India, it was greeted with the slogan ‘Go back, Simon’ and faced greater backlash. All the parties participated in the demonstration, including the Congress and the Muslim league.
