The site of Eran is located in Madhya Pradesh. Eran is an ancient town site located in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, India. It was one of the ancient mints for the dynasties that existed in India. There is evidence of the diverse coins minted during ancient times in this place. The 5th and 6th-century Gupta-era temples and monuments are present here. A statue of Vishnu as Varah was found in Eran. It is a statue of Vishnu (god), who took the shape of a Varaha or boar to protect the earth (depicted as a woman), which was sunk into the water.
