The solution of system of equations $\frac{1}{x}+\frac{1}{y}=4$  and  $\frac{1}{x}-\frac{1}{y}=2$  is

Let $\frac{1}{x}=a,\frac{1}{y}=b$

$a+b=4\to \left(1\right)$

$a-b=2\to \left(2\right)$

$\left(1\right)+\left(2\right)$

$\begin{array}{c}a+b=4\\ \underset{\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_}{a-b=2}\\ 2a=6\end{array}$

$\Rightarrow$ $a=\frac{6}{2}=3$

$a=3$  sub in equation $\left(1\right)$

$3+b=4$ $\Rightarrow$ $b=4-3=1$

$a=3$ $\Rightarrow$ $\frac{1}{x}=3$ $\Rightarrow$ $x=\frac{1}{3}$

$b=1$ $\Rightarrow$ $\frac{1}{y}=1$ $\Rightarrow$ $y=1$

$\therefore$   the solution $\left(\frac{1}{3},1\right)$ .
