The solution of the equations 3x-4y=2 and -2x+y=7 is

Given equation is  

3x-4y=2……(i) and -2x+y=7…..(ii) 

Solving (i) and (ii) by cross multiplication method we get, 

 $\frac{x}{28+2}=\frac{y}{4+21}=\frac{1}{3-8}$ $or, \frac{x}{30}=\frac{y}{25}=\frac{1}{-5}$ 

Solving, $\frac{x}{30}=\frac{1}{-5}$ 

Or,$x=\frac{30}{-5}=-6$ 

And, $\frac{y}{25}=\frac{1}{-5}$ 

Or, y = $\frac{25}{-5}=-5$
