After the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy, the song "Don't forget the days of blood, O Friend" was composed.
This song was recorded in the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar, in which a British commander opened fire on an unarmed, peaceful crowd, killing many and injuring many more. Men and women, Muslims, Sikhs, and Hindus, the rich and the impoverished, had assembled to resist the British. This song was written and performed in remembrance of those brave individuals.
