The sound waves of frequency less than 20 Hz are known as infrasonic waves.
Infrasound, often known as low-frequency sound, refers to sound waves with frequencies lower than the lower range of audibility (about 20 Hz). Because hearing gets less sensitive as frequency falls, the sound pressure should be sufficiently high for humans to feel infrared. Although the ear is the primary organ for low-frequency sounds, infrared vibrations may be sensed in many body parts at high levels.
