The sources of history are primary and secondary.
Sources refer to the material that provides evidence of a particular time, meaning the past. There are two types of sources which are Primary sources and Secondary sources. Primary sources include:-

Manuscripts:- These are the original documents, texts, and scripts.

Inscriptions:- Words or designs carved on stones.

Historical monuments:- They are fixed assets that have specific historical, national, regional, local, religious, or symbolic value.

Coins and seals:- Coins depict the transactions and economic system. At the same time, seals represent the culture of a particular time.

Secondary sources include:-

Surveys:- Surveys are done by going to a particular place and administering that by finding certain things.

Accounts of foreign travellers and chronicles:- Travellers write down their experiences and tell us about that particular time.

Autobiographies, biographies, and books:- Biographies are the history of a person written by another person. Books are an example of the thinking of a person.

Paintings:- Some artists showed history through their work in art and paintings.
